Each year, 880 Cities and Knight Foundation selects winners for their Emerging City Champions campaign. They were looking for a new, unique way to showcase the winners in 2015.
All the winners of the Emerging City Champions met in Toronto, Canada. These Champions were from all different cities throughout the United States. This was a great opportunity to interview each winner and see how they plan to innovate in their respective cities!
The Emerging City Champions is a fellowship program for young civic innovators with bold ideas to create vibrant, connected, and engaged communities. Each Champion receives professional ongoing support and $5,000 to implement one transformative community project in one year. This amazing program is led by 880 Cities and powered by John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
