To create a narrative in 4 days that represents how NFL star Vernon Davis’s hard work led to his status as a proud Jamba Juice franchise owner.
We flew out to Vernon Davis’ hometown of Washington, DC and created a documentary-like feature on his beginnings. This became one of Jamba Juice’s most successful online videos.
Any great story starts with a great backstory, so we flew back to Vernon’s hometown in Washington D.C. to shoot a series of intimate interviews with Vernon’s mentors and grandma. Years of documentary filmmaking experience allowed us to get the personal details that made the story matter. Even under a near impossible deadline, we also gathered the cinematic footage needed to capture spirit of Vernon’s urban upbringing. 2 days later, we’re in the editing room, cutting up what would become one of Jamba Juice’s most successful videos ever.
